Welcome to our new President!
Friday, May 30, was the first day on the job for our new Goodwill President, Jeff Nock of Iowa City. Jeff succeeds John Watson, who will retire on June 30, after
guiding Goodwill of the Heartland for 29 successful years.
Prior to his hire by Goodwill Industries, Jeff was the Assistant Vice President, Marketing/Product Development for ACT in Iowa City since 2003. His roles and
responsibilities within ACT included team development/coaching, strategic planning, forecasting, budget creation and management, market analysis,
acquisitions, strategic partnerships, brand management, workflow analysis, public relations, policy integration, sales training, and development and delivery
of proposals for the company’s Board of Directors.
Jeff also has been active in community service, as director on the Board of Directors of Shelter House and on the Board of Directors of the Iowa City
Community School District Foundation. He also coaches numerous youth sports teams.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado where he was named to the All Big 8 Track and Academic Teams. He
also received a master’s degree in Management from Regis University. He currently resides in Iowa City with his wife and four children.
Over the next few days John and Jeff will be visiting Goodwill locations and making introductions to partners throughout our communities.
